I am once again very pleased to send my best wishes to all freelancers on National Freelancers Day. I have a huge respect for all those who make the brave decision to branch out on their own and take control over the way they work. This Government recognises the valuable contribution that freelancers make to the economy and, as more and more people choose to join your ranks, you have all our support.

National Freelancers Day - 23 November 2011

National Freelancers Day is organised by PCG, the not for profit association representing and supporting UK freelancers, contractors and consultants and is all about freelancing.  It is a chance to highlight the value and contribution of the UK Freelance Sector, 1.56 million people who really are a fundamental to the economy in the UK and our prospects of recovery (but don't take our word for it, see what David Cameron had to say about you).

NFD 2011 (the third NFD) was quite a day with some great traditional and social media coverage. The Freelance Webinars produced for the day are available on demand via this site completely free until the New Year and if you missed the Freelance Lecture simply hit play below. You can still take part in the fit-to-freelance quiz and at the end download our FREE Guide to Freelancing.

Thanks to all the fabulous freelancers, contractors, interims, consultants and independent professionals who helped make the day a success.
