About - About National Freelancers Day
This year marks the third annual celebration of freelancers on the 23rd November for National Freelancers Day 2011.
Thanks to all your effort and support we have even higher expectations to wave the banner and celebrate the freelance way of work this year.
National Freelancers Day and the surrounding campaign is here to raise
the profile of freelancing in the UK across all audiences.
It is more than a celebration - it is about adding credibility to a crucial method of working in the UK.
National Freelancers Day was
launched in 2009 and UK wide events and webcasts focused on ‘the Future of Work’.
In 2010 the focus was ‘Freeing up potential’, with special emphasis on the lifestyle choice offered by freelancing and the growing contribution the freelance community makes to the UK’s economy.
The 2011 campaign builds on last year's endorsement of freelance working
from Prime Minister David Cameron by setting out to prove the increased
efficiency and productivity of using freelance workers to grow small
business and engineer the UK's economic recovery.
National Freelancers Day is an initiative by PCG, the Voice of Freelancing and the leading association representing the needs of freelancers in the UK.
