The six month countdown has started to one of the biggest events for the UK’s 1.4 million freelance workers, the third annual National Freelancers Day (NFD).
Taking place on 23rd November 2011, NFD 2011 is part of the largest ever campaign to define the size, shape and makeup of the freelance sector and better understand its contribution to British business.
NFD 2011 is a day to celebrate the influence, input and inspiration of this talented and flexible community. This year’s campaign builds on last year’s endorsement of freelance working from Prime Minister David Cameron by setting out to explore the increased efficiency and productivity of using freelance workers to grow small business and engineer the UK’s economic recovery.
NFD 2011 is organised by the UK’s largest association for freelance working PCG, alongside the leading sector publication Freelancing Matters.
John Brazier, Managing Director of PCG, says:
“Our priority is to build on the success of our previous events. This means in one aspect continuing the celebration of the amazing work of the 1.4 million freelancers in the UK, but on the other we are calling on businesses, agencies and associations across all sectors in the UK to help define and prove that Freelancing is the X Factor of UK industry. Together we can ensure freelancing gets the recognition it deserves.”
