Happy National Freelancers Day!
Countdown to live stream
NFD Endorsements

I am once again very pleased to send my best wishes to all freelancers on National Freelancers Day. I have a huge respect for all those who make the brave decision to branch out on their own and take control over the way they work. This Government recognises the valuable contribution that freelancers make to the economy and, as more and more people choose to join your ranks, you have all our support.

About - Freelancers Be Part Of NFD 2011

NFD 2011 is about celebrating freelance working but in order to achieve this we need to prove your value and of course, we need freelancers to be involved!

Stay connected with the latest research and updates in the build up to NFD2011 and spread the word to all your freelance clients and colleagues.

  1. Be our friend on facebook
  2. Follow us on twitter
  3. Sign up to the PCG newsletter
In return we hope to share with you the findings of our research surveys, and share with you further understanding about the freelance sector to build relationships and further strength the perception of the freelance community.

Why not try one of the following ways of getting involved with NFD2011:

1. Organise an event for your local freelance community

An NFD Meet-up (#NFDMeetup11) can be anything from a formal workshop on freelancing to a networking session.

We can support where required with advice and guidance on format, location and possibly locate third party sponsorship where available. Your event and logo will be publicised on the calendar to ensure we get freelancers on board and at the event.

PCG has a set of Mastermind packs that were developed last year, these help to structure rewarding events that are great fun to run and fully scalable to the number of freelancers that you can attract.

To get in touch please email events@pcg.org.uk

2. Share your skills and talent with the community

Let us know your experiences of freelancing, share your top tips on this site, NFD is nothing if it does not connect with you 'the freelancer.'

Why not submit advice around NFD for our guest blog on Freelancing Matters online or tell your story for our Spirit of Freelancing page.

For either of these options please email freelancingmatters@pcg.org.uk

Alternatively, tell us what National Freelancers Day is to you or what you would like it to be by commenting on our facebook page.

3. Support the freelance lecture

Attend the freelance lecture in central London on 23 November and join the debate on ‘how to harness the freelance opportunity’. For ticket enquires please email events@pcg.org.uk
