About National Freelancers Day

titleNational Freelancers Day is a must for your diary, so get Tuesday 23rd November circled on the calendar. Organised by PCG, the voice of freelancing, it will be a day when PCG members and the wider freelance community take time out to reflect on the growth of the freelance sector across the UK and its contribution to the economic well-being of the nation.

Freeing up potential

Last year we focused on ‘the Future of Work’, hosting a series of events that attracted input and participation from the community along with a launch of our ‘Manifesto for Freelancing’ in the parliaments of Westminster and Holyrood.

The theme for this year’s Freelancers Day is ‘Freeing up potential’, with special emphasis on the lifestyle choice offered by freelancing and the growing contribution the freelance community makes to the UK’s economy.

John Brazier, Managing Director of PCG, believes National Freelancers Day is fast becoming a significant date for many of the UK’s 1.4 million freelancers.  John said:

“The success of last year’s events underlined the growing importance of the freelance community to the economy of the UK. More and more people see freelancing as their ideal 21st century work choice. They see the potential of freelancing as a positive and rewarding choice for their work while enhancing their lifestyle.

“We reached out to the freelance community throughout the UK and the attendance at regional events underlined the growing confidence and pride freelancers have in their role in society.”

So please put 23rd November in your diary and check out the line-up of events over the coming months >>
