Optimistic about the future

Sir Tom Farmer

Sir Tom reflects on the role of freelancers in the success of the Kwik-Fit group and explains why for companies in the future "bigger" may in fact be "dumber".

Sir Tom set up his first business in the motor trade in 1964. In 1971 he founded Kwik-Fit, which he later sold to the Ford Motor Company for over £1 billion. He is one of Britain’s foremost entrepreneurs and now oversees a portfolio of business investments.

The dumber you are."

Insightful stuff and probably true to most freelancer's experience with their major, corporate and public sector clients.

Great to hear the personal thoughts of someone who's been there, done that and lived to tell the tale...
Making a little bit of money along the way. ;-)

Never a truer word has been spoken than to highlight the energy and enthusiasm that parnterning with specialists in their own field can bring to an organisation whose people may have been doing the same thing, in the same way, to perhaps the same ends since time in memorial.
