Celebrate National Freelancers Day with Jump PR in West London

From the outside in: Celebrating freelancing and contracting as a career choice

Umi Hotel, London W2, 23rd November from 6.30pm

Come and meet other contractors and freelancers for a panel discussion about issues facing today’s flexible workers.

This free evening event, organised by freelancer Nicola Miller (Jump PR), will be an opportunity to network with other like-minded freelancers, interact with experienced industry personalities and take part in a group discussion. The event will lead to five key points being fed back to Professional Contractors Group (PCG) about issues that concern and are of most importance to today’s freelancing/contracting professionals.

On the night:

The evening will primarily take the format of a group discussion, with questions to the panel and views being raised by the freelancers and contractors present. You are welcome to be as involved as you want in the discussions, or just listen if you prefer.

The format of the evening will be as follows:
 
6.30 pm                        Arrive at Umi Hotel, Bayswater, London
6.30 pm - 7pm              Drinks reception
7.00 pm                        Welcome and introductions (Nicola Miller, Jump PR)
7.10 pm                        Panel presentations and audience discussion
8.00 pm                        Conclusions and actions to take back to the PCG
8.15 pm                        End (more networking in the bar until apprrox 9.30pm)

The PCG’s vision is for freelancers to enjoy the optimum environment in which to operate and thrive. National Freelancers Day will highlight five key themes:

•    Fair and equitable taxation
•    The right to work freelance
•    Government to make it easier for clients to engage freelancers
•    Recognition that freelancers are in business on their own account
•    Freelancing to be respected as a valid career choice and essential in the success of UK Plc
