NFD Endorsements

I am once again very pleased to send my best wishes to all freelancers on National Freelancers Day. I have a huge respect for all those who make the brave decision to branch out on their own and take control over the way they work. This Government recognises the valuable contribution that freelancers make to the economy and, as more and more people choose to join your ranks, you have all our support.

The Freelance Lecture, LSO St Luke's, 161 Old Street, London EC1 9NG
23rd November
6.30pm - 9:00pm

The second Freelance Lecture forms the centrepiece of National Freelancers Day 2011 (once again supported by our media partner the Telegraph Media Group).

Set to a background of robust independent research, the Freelance Lecture will feature leading experts on flexible working and workforce trends, debating the key questions:

  1. How should modern businesses harness freelance talent?
  2. How can the freelance sector engage more effectively?
  3. What challenges need to be overcome?
  4. How to position yourself as a business and a freelancer in this changing world?

The exquisite St Lukes, home of the London Symphony Orchestra (and on occasion BBC's Question Time), provides the ideal backdrop, for what will undoubtedly be an interesting, stimulating debate with plenty of time for the audience to enter the debate in our panel session hosted by one of Britain’s most respected broadcasters Sue Lawley who will no doubt add her own insight to the debate.

Who should attend?

Freelancers who want to shape their business practices for future success and Business Leaders who want to capitalise on new trends in the talent market.

"Excellent thought provoking lecture last night. It has really made me think and think."
