National Freelancers Day 2012 saw UK-wide events, extensive media coverage and - we hope - a jump in the national awareness of independent professionals as key economic drivers of UK plc. A great thank you to everyone involved in making NFD 2012 the biggest and best yet.
You can now watch the NFD Event as it unfolded at the RSA (see below). We're busily adding full news and reports on the day itself and reaction to it, while you can still catch our Freelancing Movies and take our quizzes and polls here on the NFD site. The big day may be behind us, but the fun - and the serious work - goes on!
Missed the NFD Event Live Stream? Or want to enjoy it all over again? Here in its entirety is all the action from the RSA in Central London on Wednesday 21st November - pausable and fast-forwardable for maximum user-friendliness. Ably hosted by renowned broadcaster Sue Lawley, highlights include the keynote address from Alastair Campbell, and a Question Time debate with business leaders John Niland, Bill Parsons and Jane Wood, with the evening bookended by John Brazier and Chris Bryce, PCG's Managing Director and Chairman respectively. Those who attended found it a stimulating and entertaining evening. Judge for yourself!
Why all the fuss about freelancing? To mark National Freelancers Day, PCG commissioned a series of short films which answer that question in a fun and informative way.
You can now watch all six films in the series - each of them a 5 minute snapshot of an important aspect of freelancing. The latest - 'The Future is Flexible' - is both an overview and a rallying call for business and government.
